The website is designed to be a central, readily accessible source of information for medical and nursing staff working in the Department. It contains clinical guidelines, teaching and administrative material and can be accessed both from within the Department and externally.
A recent addition has been the S.H.O. and middle grade doctor rotas allowing ready consultation of an always up to date rota, automatic e mail or text notification of weekly shifts and requesting of leave. A messaging system allows communication between individuals and dissemination of important information to all members of the Department.
Please consult the website regularly; it is intended that it be regularly updated and expanded. If you have any problems accessing or using the site or have suggestions for improvements or additions then let us know.

Dear Colleague, I am very well aware that considerable distress has been caused by the MTAS debacle. Those who are involved in this are facing uncertainties about the future and may well be needing support. If you are needing support please do not hesitate to contact the Salus service which has a wide range of confidential support services available. In addition there is also the Employee Counselling Service which is anonymous and can be accessed by any NHS Lanarkshire employee and the telephone number is 0800 389 7851. There is also the BMA Helpline. If anyone wants to have a chat please do not hesitate to get in touch. Kind regards.
